I hate you snow!

Well, we've gotten more snow.

I'm sure everyone knows by now, well, most Canadians anyway, that all of Southern Ontario is/was getting hammered by this nasty winter storm.

What this means is that the past two to three days has been none stop snow and freezing rain storms, which has in turn turned the roads and sidewalks into death traps. And of course people don't want to put salt or sand down on the sidewalks, or even shovel... no that's too much trouble.

Anyway enough of that. Starting next week, hopefully, I'll get the first unit of my English course, it's University prep. so if I do well enough, it may count towards University credit, which would be great.

Heard some good things about the American Virgin comic, may check that out while I'm holed up due to this winter storm assault.

Woops my cocoa is ready..

Until next time!

Just another day in the neighbourhood..

Yes, lame title out of no where.

Just read Batman #663 and while enjoyable, the layout was a little confusing. I do commend DC, or whoever is in charge over there for experimenting with one of the flagship characters, but as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Also, John Van Fleet has really out done himself with the artwork in this issue. I'm not lying when I say it's some of the best I've ever seen, so you should definitely check it out.

The Brave and The Bold #1

This turned out to be a really fun team-up issue featuring Batman & Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and incredibly enough, they actually have a reason to work together, unlike past team-up issues.

Anyway a brief synopsis:

Green Lantern is returning home from a mission and finds a body floating in space, and contacts Batman to see if he can help him ID it. Batman is able to do so, but only because an identical copy of the body is currently lying on the floor of the Batcave.

After GL arrives at the Batcave, Batman informs the GL that 64 bodies of the same victim have been found at various spots around the world that other heroes have visited. Then, out of no where, a strange alien creature attacks the two, but they make quick work of it using the Batmobile and the Giant Penny.

I don't want to spoil anymore but it is a fun issue, and I would recommend it to any Batman or GL fan.

(no subject)

Still trying to figure this whole thing out, so bare with me.

So today I made some time, sat down, and read Marvels Civil War 7 issue mini-series. And I'm just at a loss for words, all I can really say is that it was immense. And what the hell is going to happen to Peter Parker (Spider-Man for those of you not in the know)  post CW ?

Saw Tenacious D in the Pick Of Destiny the other night and barely made it through to the end, because I literally felt like my brain was turning into a pile of goo watching this drivel. I'm sure some people found it funny and that's great, but honestly, how do movies like this get green lit at the studios ? Anyone ?

PS: Spider-Man - Identity Crisis is fantastic if some of you are looking for something to read.
